I am ashamed to admit that I’ve never read any of the books, but the movie and cast sound awesome! Love Jamie Bell, Speilberg, Craig and the whole lot of them…can’t wait to see the movie.

And maybe then I’ll finally read some of the books…I know it’s kind of backwards, but I’ve been doing it with “Harry Potter” and it has worked out just fine. 🙂

I think Freddie Highmore is an excellent actor (loved his little quivering face at the end of Finding Neverland) but maybe a bit too young for Tintin. He’s only 16 while Jamie Bell is 22, which is more appropriate. I can’t imagine Tintin needing a chaperone every time he goes on an adventure!

I think the casting is beautifully done. Jamie Bell doesn’t look like Tintin, but as you said, Tintin is a tough guy, and maybe Bell is the right character after all. I’ll love to see him as Tintin anyway, that’s for sure.

Loved TinTin when I was kid, but never really like that HBO series either. Something wrong with it. I am looking forward to the movie. Jamie Bell will make it work.
