No, I think that Chili was a good guy, or at least an anti-hero. I’m thinking along the lines of Broken Arrow, Face/Off, Swordfish, and Battlefield Earth. I liked him as the investigator on The General’s Daughter.
]]>We need a third incarnation of Pelham about as much as we need a feature version of The A-Team, which the Scott brothers are producing.
As for Travolta, would you count Chili Palmer as a bad guy? I liked Get Shorty (Be Cool, not so much).
]]>In regard to the other trailers, Funny People looks interesting, but I agree with you in that it looks like they give you the whole movie in a nutshell.
I’m looking forward to Angels and Demons. I’ve read the books and I’ve always contended that A&D was a better book than The Da Vinci Code.
In The Taking of Pelham 123, do we really need a 3rd version of this? For some reason I always like John Travolta better as a good guy. Perhaps they should have reversed the roles.
I’m looking forward to Public Enemies and Inglorious Basterds.
]]>A Time to Kill. Maybe EdTV or The Wedding Planner? We Are Marshall wasn’t too bad. So in answer to your question, 1996 for sure, but perhaps as late as 2006.
]]>Hell, I’d even settle for the new Harry Potter film at this point.
]]>Is summer here, yet?
