I don’t mind the judges saying someone chose the wrong song, Joe, because I think sometimes that’s a valid critique. Can you imagine a singer like, say, Tom Petty trying to sing a Celine Dion song? Or vice versa? I think it’d be ridiculous.

What I dislike is when they have Michael Jackson night and then slam the contestants for picking songs that are “untouchable” or “only Michael can sing.” Then why the heck did they impose the MJ theme?

the judges should be disallowed from mentioning “the wrong song” again… that’s such a cop-out answer seriously. all they have to say is “Sorry, you fail because…” (thank you Simon for being the only original judge)

Didn’t agree with the judges on Allison last night. She seemed to be going backwards not forwards for me.

FANtastic! We TiVo’d the second half of American Idol, to watch LOST, so now I’m really looking forward to viewing/hearing what we missed. Thanks! We, too, were surprised and disappointed in Michael Sarver’s performance. LOVE the Motown sound, always have, always will!!!!!!!!!!!! And LOVE the memories these beauties bring back!
