And since you mentioned the reference in Flash Forward, and for those that care (including the Lost aficionados), the name reference of Oceanic Airlines was used in an earlier film, first. It’s a fav of mine (along with actor Kurt Russell): Executive Decision, 1996. Which reminds, time to watch it, again. 😉
]]>Mercy annoyed me for some reason that I couldn’t put my finger on, and I only watched the first episode. But you have me curious to give it another chance, PCN.
FlashForward ~ I love it, love it!! I watched the start of it begrudgingly because I didn’t want to become hooked into a Lost clone, but it didn’t feel like that at all ~ and as Poncho says, WOW, the ending of the pilot was excellent. Gave me goose bumps!
]]>Flashforward on the other hand, I have seen, and I’m transfixed. I love a good mystery and somehow they’ve gotten to me. I wrote (in my blog) that the pilot has one of the best cliffhangers I’ve seen in a while. Isn’t it weird when you somehow know the end but yet don’t really know how you’ll get there, or else how will it wrap up? I don’t particularily love the acting, but I gotta admit that some of the characters got to me. And I got sooooo angry at the Nazi guy… (I was doing research on Kabbalah online and then BAM! you’re fooled!). I love the show… at least it fills the gap for my fana-Lost-ism until the final season airs, and then we’ll see.
