She said it was one of those times that she’d already seen most of the funnier scenes/lines in the trailers. I hate when that happens!

I’ll wait until it’s out on DVD, though. Handy for pausing for long periods… Thanks for the excellent heads-up as always, PCN. Have a beautiful weekend!

Elizabeth—Yes.

NovelWhore—Um, I don’t think this movie will help you find movie cohesion.

EIREGO—Well said. Can’t argue with any of that.

On another note: Seems like Will Farrell, Zach Galifianakis and Seth Rogen never really noticed what happened to Jim Carrey’s career. He started out funny, but then just became ridiculous and now irrelevant. Then again, audiences are still lining up to pay money for Jackass 3-D. I used to rationalize that reality by thinking I’m too old, but lately I think it’s because I am educated.

I tend to not like dumb men, which many of these movies seem to embrace.

I mean, all his characters are gruffy, weed-smoking, pseudo-hippies that say the same jokes over and over again. I mean. Even stoner jokes get old.

I was planning on seeing the movie just for Downey being there, but now I think I’ll wait until it airs on cable.
