Still haven’t had the chance to see this one, but you’re right, I had already decided to see it when I saw the previews. It looked like a cross between Striptease and Showgirls with possibly more talent and less raunchiness….not to mention musical numbers (which I am a fan of). Thanks for the insiders look….great job as usual. ^_^

I love bad movies. I am so in to see this movie. I used to own a DVD of Glitter until my guy friend broke it because he was so mad he wasted an hour and half of his life watching Mariah Carey try to act. I’m wearing a sparkly dress to the theatre and will love it.

I just got back from the theatre after watching this movie…and, have to say that you are right on with your thoughts, PCN. I thought this movie was very song heavy (with musical number after musical number) and lacked character development. I also thought that this was the type of movie that you could fast forward 15, 45, 5, 10 minutes…to ANY song and dance number and it would all blend in and be (easily) interchangeable. I have to admit that I DID love seeing Cher on the big screen, though.

Shell---Drinks would definitely increase your goodwill towards this movie! Coffee & Book Chick---I agree. Cher did exactly that when she started acting in movies like Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean and Silkwood.

I’m going to wait for Netflix on this one — I pretty much figured Christina Aguilera’s first role in movies would be one that is about the sexy. Sometimes I think a singer who wants to break into films should just try with a really good substantial role that is a secondary character and then start from there — if a singer has a talent for acting, sometimes they just don’t get the recognition that they need for their performance when they do a lead role in a movie that is about…singing.

I like Christina, so I’m on board to see the film when it gets released on my friendly Netflix.

I enjoyed Stanley Tucci’s role in The Devil Wears Prada, so I doubt I’ll mind a reprise {but thanks for the heads up, PCN!} If I do see it at the movie theatre instead of waiting for the DVD, I’ll follow your advice to Christine {about the drinks, at least}.
