I love historical drama and was pretty much a lock to see this when I first heard of it. 🙂 However, I’m glad to see it’s good enough to appeal to a wider audience. I have high hopes!

Shell---I did feel a bit dizzy. Forgot the smelling salts at home. Won't make that mistake again, especially when I see Javier Bardem next week. Paulette---I think you'll really enjoy the movie. I didn't know much about King George VI so this was educational and entertaining.

LOVE the review and I am excited about this story (no, I am not a speech pathologist). It is a fascinating moment in history as Elizabeth, the daughter, did not wish to be thrust into her future role due to her uncle’s behavior. Long live the king!

What an Eye Fest. You must have been dizzy to see Colin Firth in such close quarters, PCN. I don’t overly go for historical dramas myself, but this sounds like a touching story. And who am I kidding, I’d go along to see CF anyway.

I’m a man and I have enjoyed everything Firth has ever done. Not in a sexual way (no, ladies, I don’t get the appeal), but just because he’s so vulnerable. Sounds like he will excel in this role as well. Looking forward to seeing this over the holidays.

And mad props to you PCN for the use of “Oscar baity”. Very impressive.
