I am going to assume that this was more of a fashion spread going for “edgy” and not indicative of the direction for the film….agree with Christine. Keeping an open mind and fingers crossed!

hm. i really like rooney mara. and i want her to succeed. but these photos seem so derivative. i hope she takes the role to a deeper level, because if not, it really is just a fashion spread for W.

Just from these 2 stills, the heroin-trashy just doesn’t look strong enough to me. I’ll have to wait and see if her acting can balance it out. And what you said about the cover shot – maybe that’s what bugs me about it. [Another negative was that it struck me as too American-trashy sex-sells vibe.]

Trying to keep an open mind, because I’d like it to succeed.
