Thanks for your comments, everyone! Glad you enjoyed the recaps. Nora and le0pard13---what you were watching was far superior to the awards show. Novelwhore---Naya Rivera's dress (the one showing the side-boob) is embarrassingly ill-fitting on top of being dull. Christine---I agree about Kidman's and Bening's dresses! The former was so ugly, I couldn't understand why she kept saying how much she loved it. Bening, on the other hand, looked like a goddess in her golden gown. Poncho---I see you've completely abandoned Santana and are all about Brittany now! Was the side-boob flashing the last straw for you? Shell---Rush mentioned the King's Speech Therapist joke and I said, "Shell told me about that!" Rachel---you are my polar opposite. I turn OFF the TV when football or baseball is on, much to the disgust of my 7-year-old nephew, who loves all things sports.

I don’t ever manage to get the TV on except for football (and baseball when its season rolls around) but I do enjoy these wrap-ups! That’s even when I haven’t heard of half the shows and more than half of the people. Thanks for the laughs!

Pooh, there’s another awards ceremony I’ve missed. But your post more than made up for it, PCN. I love your fashion observations and agree thoroughly. Cheese grater? Heh heh. Geoffrey Rush is a stand-up guy and very gracious. I’m happy to hear of his speech. Very nice.

Watched Fellowship of the Ring with daughter and didn’t watch this. Doesn’t sound like I missed too. Oh and, no Halle Berry?!? Alright, I’ll settle for the shot of Rosario Dawson ;-).

I did watch the show, and I have to agree with you. It was almost a snoozefest, except for the things you mentioned.

Although I LOVE Betty White, she wasn’t quite the right choice for the price, but I have to say that her speech was amazing and -as always- very funny. I also was a little surprised by Colin Firth’s speech because even though I liked the jokes, he seemed to be much more nervous than in other ceremonies. I was also thrilled MODERN FAMILY got the ensamble award.

Thanks for this roundup! BTW, I think Heather Morris looks amazing (well, she could be wearing a gown made out of garbage for all I care and still look incredible).

Saw most of the show after Borgnine got his Lifetime achievement, but did catch the replay of Julianna Margulies receiving her Actor. And by “saw”, I mean, I’d drift in to watch the nominees listed, see who won, but only watched acceptance speeches by Julianna, Natalie Portman, Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush on behalf of

Thought Nicole Kidman’s black dress was awful. Of Jane Lynch’s dress – you saw poufy prom; I saw Bridezilla’s curse on her bridesmaids. Kate Mara’s dress could be a shoutout for the Super Bowl-the top made me think of the laces on footballs.

Love the pop of color of some dresses – especially the true blue-red! Of those that were cream/nude, whatever neutral, I thought that Hilary’s (I second the arm envy!) and Annette Bening’s were lovely.

After years of HAVING to watch all the awards shows because Hubby and/or his co workers did audio/video/special effects, I now do anything to avoid watching them. However, I love your irreverant recaps! Keep ’em coming.

haha I don’t like watching the shows but I adore reading your recaps.

I think Mila is absolutely gorgeous and I love her dress too, but it looks a tad too long – I would most definitely trip on the pooling at the bottom.

I don’t watch Glee, but think the woman in your upper right hand corner needs a little more side-dress coverage, as her, ahem implant, seems to be popping out.

I like neon pink but think the Madonna-esque dress is a little much. I think that shade of pink should be limited to less material – like a summer top or sundress, not floor length gown. She looks like a stick of bubble gum.

Did not watch…watched season finale of Downton Abbey and then went to bed…too many awards shows these days, all the same people, all the same speeches, and so few of these people are able to master the dying art of being brief, witty and appropriate in their acceptance speeches. So tedious.

Even the gowns worn by the cast of Downton Abbey had all of those gowns beat.
