1) Scott McCheesy – While I do applaud him for trying something different, his rendition made my eyes roll. I would have boo-ed him off the stage had I been there in person.

2) James Durbin – I liked it a little, but I wish he had gone further with it. Not the screaming over the top stuff he usually does which makes some people compare him to Adam (where is he now) Lambert, but maybe a darker take on the tune. Kinda of a psycho/killer vibe would have been cool.

As you said, it was mostly a boring evening and I find myself fast forwarding thru the commentary because they seem to be listening to a whole different performance than what they are drooling over. This is a boring, sorry lot of contestants this season.
