I’d love the body to be FauxAmanda, but I doubt it. I’m pretty sure it was a male body, but now I cannot remember… hmmm… I might have to go back and re-watch the pilot (not that I’m complaining).

I was totally lost at how she got the wallet on Tyler. The chick surely does have mad ninja skillz.

I also got the sense the lawyer was a bad dude re the Clarke case, but I was under the impression (real or imagined) that Emily had something on him and he was now a pawn in her game and attending to Victoria at her behest.

I’d bet money that the dead body in the pilot isn’t Daniel. I saw an interview with Joshua Bowman in which the interviewer said it’s sad that Daniel is dead since he’s turned out to be likable. Bowman said it’s not what it seems. Wouldn’t it be great if the dead body is FauxAmanda?

I like Ashley better as Emily’s friend, too, but now that she’s getting grumpy, she should either go to the dark side all the way or decide she wants to be friends again. Everyone else has clear motives but she’s really wishy washy right now, which doesn’t make her a dynamic character.

I suppose Tyler serves as a scapegoat for Frank’s murder, but if the police run Frank’s wallet, wouldn’t Emily’s fingerprints be on it instead of Tyler’s since he never touched it? Emily/Amanda is in the system; her prints would pop up and create more problems for her.

I got the sense Victoria’s lawyer is someone who should’ve done a better job defending David Clarke. Looks like he buried exculpatory evidence or something.

The biggest problem I had w/last night is Tyler not feeling Frank’s wallet suddenly in his pocket. And where the hell was Emily hiding it? That dress barely had room for her.

As for Jack not getting it that FauxAmanda isn’t really the girl from his childhood…..I think any guy would ignore that as soon as she pressed against him. I know I would. I mean, c’mon, we’re guys.

I am so addicted to this show, I was so having withrawal symptoms until last night. But I do agree with you in almost everything.

I was hating Tyler a lot because he was clearly stopping Amanda/Emily’s revenge path, but now that he’s -apparently- out of the picture, the wheels shall turn, but the next obstacle is definitely FauxAmanda (who’s now on to Amanda/Emily)… and I don’t know why, but I’d love her to die.

On the other hand, I’m hoping the “dead body” on the premiere episode isn’t Daniel, because I’ve come to like the character a lot, and I like how it conflicts Amanda/Emily.

I like Ashley, and I liked her more as Amanda/Emily’s clueless friend. That frenemy situation’s not working for me.

Anyway… this show is what I call a guilty pleasure. And pleasant to watch it is (the gals are gorgeous!).

So, while I only watched with one eye (and occasionally just audio – I AM at work), this ep seemed a little less substantive than the others. I think it’s something of a transitional ep, getting Tyler out of the way (hopefully) and setting up the next phase of legal wrangling and takedowns. I agree whole-heartedly about Tyler being outside the story, but to me he served as a conduit for the conflicts between others, ways to get videos and other info between the parties.

I was also hoping Declan, Charlotte or Ashley would be taken out by gunfire, but kind of figured the gun was empty and if Tyler was going to take someone out, he wouldn’t start with non-starters. I’d love to see E go ninja on someone, but agree it was too early to tip her hand in that regard. One day, she’s going to knock Victoria’s block off with a nifty roundhouse.

Maybe I’m missing something, but I thought there was a connection between David’s former lawyer and Emily, like she had sent him in to work with Victoria. Did I misunderstand that? I thought he was going to be another piece in her revenge play.
