The first was when I worked as a temp for an advertisement agency. All I had to do was sort mail and answer the phones. Unlike most places they didn’t care if I read magazines and surfed the web all day as long as I did my work quickly and efficiently. It was great to be at a job that didn’t care about fake busyness!
The second was as a caterer. I arrived at the gig after the first crew had already unpacked and set things up. All that was left was napkin folding which I got to do at an outside table facing the ocean. It was a gorgeous day in Malibu and you could even see dolphins. When one of my co-workers asked me if I needed help, I told him that at this point I felt like I should be paying someone.
The third was as a model for a promotional job. All I had to do was take pictures with anyone who came to our booth. Someone else would print out the pictures and put it on a key chain. I had been doing a lot of promotional jobs at that time and this was by far the easiest, plus it paid almost twice as much as the harder jobs. Go figure.
