I said “seemingly fragile old woman”! That’s what the predator thinks (the prologue is in his POV), because she has gray hair and a walking stick. It turns out he’s very wrong about her.

I had to mention that about the opening because it’s so creepy, I was thinking, “I don’t think I can handle this.” I’m glad I was able to get past it.

Regardless, this sounds awesome. I love that you give me a heads up that all will not go as planned in the opening. And I can handle edgy, as you say, if it doesn’t go too far.
