I’ve been wanting to read the book, but maybe I should just see the movie instead 🙂 I like Austen’s books, but the film adaptations are just as good in some cases.

I am SO excited for this one. I liked the book well enough, but I am a Keri Russell superfan. I’m hoping within a month it’ll be in the Denver area.

I didn’t really know anything about Meyer, have not read the books or seen the movies, so I didn’t have any opinions about her. But after seeing her speak, I like her quite a bit. She was articulate and thoughtful and frank about how she believes bad criticism and really takes it to heart if someone calls her a terrible writer. She didn’t say it in a “woe is me” tone, only that she’s not someone who can be blasé about it. But she keeps writing because she enjoys it, and I respect her for that.

Coolidge’s best line in this movie still makes me laugh. All I have to do is throw it out at Mr. PCN and we both crack up. She always has one line in each of her movies that stands out. We still quote her from BEST IN SHOW: “We have lots in common. We both like soup…”

Sounds pretty amazing… I probably would have ditched the idea of seeing it because of Meyer’s attachment to it. But after your review and the sample of the after discussion, I want to see the movie AND I like Stephenie again. Way to go PCN!
