Great selections this month, ladies (as always). Jen, the first one of that series has been on my list FOREVER. I need to get to it already. Erin, I’m one behind on my Parker, but I do love the cover for this one. I broke down and got the audio of the last one because I simply won’t have time to pick up the tree book. It’s next in line! Rory, I picked All the Ugly as my Book of the Month selection and can’t wait to get to it. Sounds like grit lit right up our alleys. E, I’m about as big a fan of historical fiction as you are, but you have made me want to read the the poor sod book!

Ha! I admit, it was difficult at times. But I always remind myself there are people who find themselves in situations like this and try to roll with it. Because Paris at least tried to provide “rationale,” it didn’t bother me as much as it would have otherwise/normally. I gave this book to my neighbor who needed a plane read (she’s heading to Florida with her two young kids and her elderly mother and needed an escape), and I think it’s a perfect escape book (though I understand that urge to toss).

Very strong set of choices this time around. I look forward to devouring them.

Note to Lauren/Malcolm Avenue Review: I’ve read Behind Closed Doors. I was so frustrated by the situation the lead character found herself in that I must have thrown it across the room about a dozen times while reading it. It’s a positive testament to the writing that I kept walking over to pick it back up again. Good on you for picking this.
