I have seen MOONLIGHT. The acting is very good, from all 3 actors playing the lead character. The scenes of his being bullied at school made me so mad.

I’ve yet to meet an entire family on the same page about the election outcome, but I think we can all agree sitting in the dark watching a good film is a better way to spend the holidays in the company of relatives.

I saw Fantastic Beasts/Find Them and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I agree with your assessment of Allied as well. Lion is on my “interested in seeing” list.

As for Warren Beatty’s Rules Don’t Apply… I have no interest. The last time I saw a Beatty film I liked was Heaven Can Wait. It was magical and he’s yet to make another watchable film.

Manchester By the Sea killed me. It ripped at my heartstrings. I’d be very surprised if Casey Affleck, whom I’ve never been a fan of, doesn’t take home the gold prize this year. Michelle Williams deserves it as well.
