Sailboats and Seattle and STAR WARS

My posts were scarce these past two weeks because I was traveling with family up and down the West Coast, attempting to be all rugged with boating and mountain hiking and stuff. I’m amazed my legs didn’t fall off and I can still walk upright.

We went from Orange Co. up to San Francisco and Seattle and the San Juan Islands, stopping along the way in places like Santa Barbara and Morro Bay.

Seattle is where the EMP Museum has the Star Wars costume exhibit, which featured these guys.

Speaking of Star Wars, I have a fun giveaway for you. A marketing rep from Underoos (yes, that Underoos) contacted me to let me know Underoos are now for adults, too. The rep sent along a free set in the design of my choice, and of course I chose something Star Wars related, though it was a tough choice between this and Wonder Woman.

From the Underoos site. Did you think I would pose in my underwear?

The starry blue background is beautiful and R2 pops, but it’s a transfer that sometimes makes a crinkling sound when I move, and I suspect it won’t last long after repeated washings. The set is 100% cotton and very comfortable.

Underoos is letting me give away one set in any design to one PCN reader. To enter, leave a comment letting me know which design you would choose and why. Giveaway ends next Thursday, August 27, 9 p.m PST. US addresses only.

Wonderful trip, thanks for the pics so I can live vicariously. Though I need one of SJI. I love the San Juans and wish I could live there.

I had no idea the SW costumes were on display up there! Next time I’m up there, I’m going.

I am a bit put off by the Underoos site, I have to say. First, no section for women, we’re apparently just crammed at the end of the adult section. And we get only a few designs? The “mens” designs aren’t also made for women? I’d say you could order a man’s set, but the underwear are cut so differently it can’t be as comfy. So I guess the set I would order would be the Invisible Woman. 😉 Cool stuff, though. I’d probably go with Bat Girl. The Wonder Woman tank is cool, but I couldn’t do the stars all over my booty. Your set is also pretty nifty. Nice giveaway!

What’s wrong with stars on your booty? 🙂

I too wondered why there isn’t a women’s section on the site and instead we’re labeled as juniors. And yes, we have fewer designs than the men do but I guess that’s because there are much fewer female superheroes.

The Bat Girl set is cool, and you could wear it as a homage to Yvonne Craig.

Not a thing WRONG with stars on a booty, just not me.

I guess you’re right that there are fewer female superheroes, but maybe I want to wear Aquaman Underoos! I do like the Bat Girl set.

Or maybe some guys want to wear R2 ‘Roos, right?

I didn’t make it out of town this summer so I will live vicariously through your wonderful pictures.

The idea of wearing Underoos set me back a bit, but I do like The Flash and Superman. Why don’t they have Iron Man?

Iron Man would be cool! But I think it’s a rights issue. Underoos probably hasn’t gotten the license to sell merchandise based on Marvel characters.

Your trip looked amazing! Beautiful pictures, too. Do you at least feel a tad rugged?

Way, way back when, I used to love sleeping in my Underoos. I’d totally go for the R2 ones! I’m digging the starry blue background, and they’d be fun to wear when it’s time to “switch off.” (As C3PO would say.)

The R2 set would be perfect for you!

You know, there’s a Luke set, and Boba Fett, and Leia, and the two droids, but where’s the Han Solo ensemble? Wouldn’t you want that in your bed? 🙂

I DO feel a bit rugged because my legs are still functioning and I didn’t fall off any bridges or cliffs. It’s funny because around the house I’m really clumsy, incurring stupid injuries by the hour, but put me on a mountain and I was OK!

I gotta go with C-3PO because I am a know-it-all, fluent in over 6 million forms of communication and always tell people the odds.

Would love r2d2 shirt and undies. It is adorable.
By the way, what do you think of Thor being rebooted as a girl in the movies?

As with most things, I’ll wait until I see it before I give an opinion.

Wow, I really envy you the sailing. I’m not sure how I came to be landlocked when I’ve always longed to go sailing (and by that I mean on a vessel under sail power.

My dad had never been on a sailboat so he loved the experience. I wish you could come out and do it. The captain had a hammock on the bow and Mr. PCN was relaxing in it as we cruised back in, feeling like we had no worries in the world.
