Warner Bros. and New Line Bringing SEXy Back

sexandthecitymovie1You’ve already heard that there will be a Sex and the City movie sequel, with all four lead actresses and writer/director Michael Patrick King returning. Now, a release date has been set: May 28, 2010. It’s the same last weekend in May the first one had but next year, it’ll have the benefit of being Memorial Day weekend, giving the movie an extra day to rack up those opening numbers (the first one grossed about $415 worldwide).

I’m looking forward to this because I really enjoyed last year’s movie. It really wasn’t about the fashion (though the shoe porn helped). I was moved by how the bond of friendship remains fierce between Carrie and her friends no matter what life throws at them.

So, should Carrie and Big have a baby? (Hell no for me.) Should Aidan return to complicate things? Should Samantha settle down? Will you be in line for the sequel or do you think they’re waaay overstaying their welcome?

‘Shoe porn.’ Excellent, PCN! I’m happy for them to crank out another one. Why not. And I agree, Vote No for Baby Big.

Yep, I bet you are. You and Adam Lambert! (LOL)

Not being a hater, but you do deserve a bit of ribbing for liking his performances on AI.

    Did you say “RIBBED”?

No worries, I can handle it, Reader#9.

The first one felt like one of those extended episodes, but I will probably go see this one as well.

They do get some catchy music though.

    Okay, I’ll comment on this.

No, I don’t want to see them have kids. As much as I don’t really like the character SJP portrays, the one thing any fan of the show can agree upon: Carrie Bradshaw is not a domestic individual! And she will never be the kind of wife who follows Mr. Big from country to country as his business requires. Adding a baby to the mix would be just plain cruel.

No on the return of Aidan as well. Maybe it’s a size thing with her, but it’s been proven over and over again that only Mr. Big could afford the kind of life Carrie needs. Whether Aidan could afford it or not, he is too down to earth for her.

Samantha’s fate is wrapped up in being a cougar. There’s no other life that fits her personality. Anything else would just be sad.

Finally, yeah, I’ll line up for it.

Wow, you’ve given it some thought, ScriptPimp! I agree on all points.
